Mrs. June Rogers, age 85, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Thursday afternoon, November 27, 2014 at the Gordon Hospital. June was born June 4, 1929 in Alabama, a daughter of the late Herman and Velvie Thomas Powell. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Herman L. Powell, sisters, Faye Alden, Joyce Rogers.

She is survived by her husband of sixty six years, Glenn Rogers of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda June and Herschel Croy of Resaca, GA, Louise and Milton Southerland of Chatsworth, GA, Shirley Floyd and Steve Bryant of Rosedale, GA; brother, Crawford Powell of Tunnel Hill, GA; sisters, Dorothy Winkler of Chatsworth, GA, Sue Powell of Dalton, GA; nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. June Rogers will be held Sunday November 30, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Brother Matthew McHugh and Reverend Josh Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Hall Memorial Baptist Church with T.J. Lamaster, Joey Lamaster, Roger Miller, Mark Croy, Lafain Rogers and Steve Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
