Mrs. Julia Cuna Ortiz, age 94, of Dalton Ga., departed this life Thursday April 11, 2024, at her residence. She was born December 28, 1929, in San Rafael, Gto., Mexico a daughter of the late Ernesto Cuna Martinez and Natividad Ortiz. She was also preceded in death by her husband Antonio Hernandez Garcia, sons, Saul Hernandez Cuna and Arturo Hernandez Cuna, brothers, Salud Cuna Ortiz, Refugio Cuna Ortiz, sisters, Gudelia Paniagua, Felicitas Cuna-Ortiz, and Maria Cruz Cuna Ortiz.

She is survived by her daughters, Elia Bojorges, Odilia Hernandez Cuna, Jeorgina Hernandez Cuna, Angelina Hernandez Cuna, Rosalba Hernandez Cuna, Nohemi Hernandez Cuna; sons, Efrain Hernandez Cuna, Juan Carlos Hernandez Cuna; brother, Francisco Cuna Ortiz; sisters, Hilda Garcia, Catalina Cuna Ortiz, Irma Arriola; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. from the Saint Joseph's Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
