Mrs. Julia Kathleen Hasty 87, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Saturday morning June 22, 2019 at the Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen was born February 26, 1932 in Copperhill, Tennessee, the last surviving child of the late Robert Melvin and Eula Iola Mae Davenport Williams. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of fifty-four years, William Franklin Hasty, who died December 8, 2003. Her brothers, Paul T. Williams and H. F. Williams and sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Bethel Amonett, Helen and Buck Brindle, Ann and Bill King, Grace and Albert West and Doris Greene.
Kathleen was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of Lakeside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Barbara Hasty; daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Jerry Nealey, Pam and Terry Painter all of Rocky Face, GA; grandchildren, Eric and Emily Pullen, Stacey and Shane Owen, Steven and Laura Nealey, Michelle and Rodney Dodd and Trey Hasty; great-grandchildren, Callen Nealey, Preston Nealey, Luke Owen, Emma Grace Tillman, Carter Pullen and Sam Pullen; several special nieces and special nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Kathleen Hasty will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeside Baptist Church, (1399 Lafayette Hwy., Rocky Face, Georgia,) with Brother Clyde Painter and Brother Scott Hobbs officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, Rocky Face, Georgia, with Eric Pullen Steven Nealey, Trey Hasty, Don Amonett, Mike Amonett and Rathel Daves serving as pallbearers. Her great-grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
