Mrs. Judy Elaine Hethcox, age 67, of Cohutta, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday morning, August 12, 2015 at her residence. Judy was born September 21, 1947 in Andalusia, Alabama, a daughter of the late Ara and Lacie Sweat Flowers. She loved birds, plants and most of all she loved to travel.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Jones of Varnell, GA, Regina and Bob Brown of Odenville, AL, Sonya and Vince Rowland of Cohutta, GA, Kimberly and Mike Vandiver of Trussville, AL; sons and daughter-in-law, Jason Hethcox, Steven Hethcox of Dalton, GA, Richard and Brenda Hethcox of Michigan; brothers, Jason Flowers, Bobby Flowers, J.C. Flowers; sisters and brother-in-law, Irene and James Cooley all of Opp, AL, Inez Carnley of Plant City, FL; sixteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Judy Elaine Hethcox will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Evangelist Vince Rowland officiating. She will be laid to rest at Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Daniel Jones, Brad Slade, Keith Rowland and Kyle Gibson serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the service hour.
