Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce S. Kennedy, 70, will be 2 pm Sunday, January 20, 2019, at the Corinthian Funeral Home chapel with Brother David Bedsoe and Winston Barnett officiating. Interment will in Corinth Church of God Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5pm till 8pm Saturday evening. Mrs. Kennedy passed from this life Thursday January 17, 2019, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born in Alcorn County, Mississippi on December 1, 1948, to Leaton and Florence Hancock Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Calvin Kennedy, one daughter Cassandra Kyle, an infant son Albert Smith, one brother Lil Ray Smith, one sister Easter Mae Crider, two brother-in-laws: Ronald Crider and Steve Miller, a great niece Aaliyah Valenciana, and three nephews: Jammion Teems, Mardis Teems, and Jr. Crider, one niece Tinea Hardin.  Those to carry on her memory include her children: Shane Williams and Jotasha Kyle both of Corinth, her grandchildren: Latina Williams, Makayla Bledsoe, Jonathan Bledsoe, Scott Korhnak, and Heather Kennedy, her great grandchildren: Clarence Grisham, Calvin Grisham, and Cassandra Grisham all of Corinth, step-daughter Kari Korhnak of Rengold, Ga., her siblings: Margaret Smith (Johnny Burk) of Rocky Face, Ga., Brenda Schroder (Wayne) Rossville, Ga., Patricia Miller of Chatsworth, Ga., Carolyn Sisk ( Kenneth) of Section, Ala., Jolene Bowlin (Jim) of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., Reba Kyle (Joel) of Tunnel Hill, Ga., Angelia VanMeter (Buddy) of Dalton, Ga., Meredith Smith (Ferlin Phillips) of Rock Springs, Ga., Debbie Teems (Hugh) of Canton, Ga., Roger Smith (Jamie) of Dalton, Ga., and O'Neal "Snowball" Smith (Caroline)of Rome, Ga., and many nieces nephews and other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Kyle, Bryan Crider, Ryan Crider, Gabriel Hurdle, Jon Hurdle, Robert Morrison, Blake Bowlin, and Lance Winter.
Honorary Pallbearer is her grandson Jonathan Bledsoe will be leading his nanny to her final resting place.
