Mr. Josh Smallen, 43, of Tunnel Hill, GA went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Erlanger Medical Center surrounded by his wife, daughter, family, and friends. Josh was a huge sports, Nascar (#24), and music fan. He coached softball for many, many years in the Tunnel Hill community.

Josh was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Smallen and grandmother Frances McAffee, great grandmother Evelyn Martin, grandfather, Charles Garner.

Josh is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Rasha Smallen of Tunnel Hill, son Christian Smallen of Cusseta, Alabama, his baby girl, Morgan Smallen, and special family member Bryson Whitmore of Varnell, GA, brother and sister-in-law, Seth and Kari Smallen of Chattanooga, sister and brother-in law, Brandalyn and Jeff Locke of Ft. Oglethorpe, Jana and PJ Robertson of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, Erin and Corey Quarles of Harrison, TN, father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Nancy Smith of Tunnel Hill, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Mandy and Kris Smith of Chatsworth, GA, brother-in-law and sister-in law, Kenneth and Jesse Smith, mother, Mary Martin of Chattanooga, TN, stepfather, Larry Garner of Chattanooga, TN, grandmother, Lorene Garner; special uncle and family, Donny Garner and Kathy Ganrner; stepmother, Theresa Smallen, of Chattanooga, TN, grandparents, Bob and Sue Martin of Chattanooga, TN, nephews Judson Chaffin, Garrett Robertson, Braxton Hulgan, nieces, Kady Chaffin, Britton Locke, Bonnie Smith. Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. His beloved pets, Bo, Chanel, and Pepper. Pallbearers Seth Smallen, Josh Smith, Jerry Smith, Adam Smith, Chris Turley, David Seavers, Adam Lewis, Ryan Mooney and Rusty Jenkins. Josh will be forever missed and always remembered. Services to celebrate the life of Josh Smallen will be held Monday August 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Bill Gardner, Reverend Brian Whitmore and Chris Eidson officiating. He will be laid to rest at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Gardens.
