Joseph Howard Waters, 84, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life March 28, 2018 at the local hospital.

Mr. Waters was born in Signal Mountain, Tennessee on October 9, 1933.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lucille Waters; daughters, Tammy Waters Henry, Mary Waters Goad and Anna Ruth Waters Strickland; and a son, Michael Ray Ingram;

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Eric Blackwelder of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Demisha Hicks, Kristy Davenport, Joey and Lane Chastain, Zach Strickland, Kain and Emma Blackwelder; great-grandchildren also survive.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
