Joseph Haley Barr, III "Chip", age 56, and Mitzi Renae (Gibson) Barr, age 54, passed away on March 29, 2019 in Woodlawn, Tennessee. Chip was born on January 11, 1963 to Joseph Haley Barr, Jr. and Wanda White. Mitzi was born on August 21, 1964 to Donald B. Gibson and Gladys Faye (Cooper) Wilson.
Chip and Mitzi were married for thirty-six years and both enjoyed spending time with each other. They could always be seen doing everything together. Chip owned and operated Whitt's BBQ in Clarksville, Tennessee. He enjoyed hunting and collecting antiques during his spare time. While Mitzi was talented and enjoyed acrylic and oil paintings. She was into anything that was artsy. Together, with their enjoyments, they made the dynamic duo. Both loved spoiling Presley, who was their shih tzu dog. They cherished the life that they had been blessed with.
Chip and Mitzi are survived by daughter and son-in-law, Haley and Kyle Webb; daughter, Ashley Barr and grandson, Jacob Patterson. Chip is survived by his mother, Wanda White; brother, Rusty Barr along with his children, Tanner, Maclaine and Paxton; he is also preceded in death by his sister, Mitzi Barr. Mitzi is survived by her father, Don Gibson formerly of Dalton, GA, and her brother, Stuart Gibson. Chip and Mitzi are also survived by a host of relatives and friends.

A joint graveside service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 2 pm at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with Cindy Pitts officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 4 pm until 8 pm and on Friday from 1 pm until 1:45 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
