Mr. Joseph David Martin, age 54, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, October 28, 2024. He was born November 6, 1969 in Dalton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Lindsey Martin, grandparents, Joe and Sarah Martin, Barbara Huffman Hooker, James Hooker, aunts Fannie Hooker, Clara Carver.

He is survived by his mother, Joy Lee Hooker Martin of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Joy Leeann and David Bridges; grandchildren, Gardner Bridges, Evangeline Bridges of Gainesville, GA; sister, Emily Martin of Dalton, GA; special cousin, Michael Pelfrey of Dalton, GA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Joseph David Martin will be held Saturday November 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Tony Robertson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
