Mr. Joseph Edgar Jones, age 63, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, December 9, 2019 at Piedmont Hospital in Newnan, GA.  He was born February 27, 1956 in Canton, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Edgar Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Marie Jones of the residence; mother, Barbara Helen Jones of Dalton, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Joey Jones and his wife Meg of Newnan, GA; daughter, Marsha Jones of Dalton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Troy and Anita Jones, Jeff and Kelli Jones of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Colton and Chloe Lewis stationed in the United States Navy in Washington State, Megan Lewis of Dalton, GA, Joseph Braiden Jones of Calhoun, GA, Margo Jones of Newnan, GA; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Joseph Edgar Jones will be held Thursday December 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jerry Beavers officiating. Interment will follow in the Dawnville United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
