Mr. Joseph Dean Gentry age 45, of Ranger, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, November 26, 2022, in Cobb County, Georgia, from injuries sustained in an automobile-pedestrian accident. Joseph was born May 4, 1977, in Austell, Georgia.  He was a graduate of Campbell High School in Smyrna, Georgia. Joseph worked in metal fabrication as a welder.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ruby Neil Gentry, and Doris Chaffin.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy Gentry, GA; father, Dean Gentry of Ranger, GA; sister, Michale Kangelos, niece and nephew, Macie and Chandler Gentry; uncle, Larry Gentry of Douglasville, GA; aunt, Sandra Abercrombie of Smyrna, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Joseph Dean Gentry will be held Tuesday morning, December 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Fairmount Chapel with Reverend Tony Evans officiating. He will be laid to rest at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Fairmount Chapel 2566 Hwy 411, Fairmount, Georgia, 30139, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
