Mr. Joseph L. Albertson Jr., age 75, of Sugar Valley, Georgia departed this life on Sunday morning, December 31, 2023, at AdventHealth Gordon in Calhoun, Georgia. He was born January 9, 1948 in Sacramento, California a son of the late Joseph and Alma Albertson. He was also preceded in death by his children, Joseph Albertson III, Lisa Silva. He loved cooking for family, camping, hunting and fishing. Love for his family was undeniable and the presence of "Papa Joe" will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Amanda Albertson of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Scott Cooper; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jerri Parris; grandchildren, Cassie and Kalup Bartley, Scotty Cooper, Trey and Mallory Parris, Tavi and Blake Foster; great grandchildren, Cooper and Kase Bartley, Mia Grace and Lainey Parris, Beau Foster all of Sugar Valley, GA; step mother, Dixie Albertson; siblings, Dorothy and Sherman Sutherland, Faye Laxton, Nona Burgess, Michelle Sheppard, Saundra Cox, Annetta Yant all of Arkansas; nieces and nephews.
