Mr. Jonothan Franklin Barnette, age 24, of Jacksonville, North Carolina and formerly of Chatsworth, GA Georgia, departed this life Sunday, October 3, 2021 in California while serving his country in the United States Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Sullivan, Brenda Barnette, Earl Hayes.

He is survived by his wife, Savannah Barnette; daughter, Kenleigh Barnette of the residence; parents, Robin and Brandon Hayes of Chatsworth, GA, Frank and Sarah Barnette of Mississippi; brother, and sister-in-law, Robert and Hannah Barnette; sister, Keri Barnette of Chatsworth, GA; grandparents, Barbara and Johnny Medlin of Chatsworth, GA, James Barnette of Mississippi, Althea Hayes of Chatsworth, GA, Barbara Sullivan of Chatsworth, GA, mother-in-law, Regena Henderson of Chatsworth, GA; father-in-law, Johnny West of Dalton, GA; aunts and uncles, Tara and Elvis Wheat of Crandall, GA, Kim and David Cooper of Dalton, GA, Pam and James Morgan of Tunnel Hill, GA, Melissa Sullivan of South Carolina, Christina Barnette of Chris and Alisa Barnette of Mississippi; nephews, Sebastian Taylor, Landon Barnette; niece, Ariah Clouse.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jonothan Franklin Barnette will be held Saturday October 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday. He will be laid to rest at the Ponders Murray Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
