Mr. Nankin Jonatan Zelaya-Almendares, age 24, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Saturday morning, April 22, 2023, in Cartersville, Georgia, as the results of an automobile accident.

Jonatan was born June 17, 1998, in Manto, Olancho, Honduras. He was preceded in death by his father, Santo Rodolfo Zelaya. He was employed at Wulkins Granite.

He is survived by his mother, Angelica Maria Almendares Matute; sisters, Yibel Zelaya, Raquel Zelaya; brothers, Milton Zelaya, Franklin Zelaya, Maicol Zelaya, and Misael Zelaya; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jonatan Zelaya will be held Monday, May 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Reverend Ernesto Mendez officiating. The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. Monday until the service hour.

He will be laid to rest with his father at Jute Manto Cementerio, in Manto, Olancho, Honduras.
