Mr. Johnny William Vaughn Jr., age 60, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday morning, July 12, 2013 at his residence. Johnny was born September 9, 1952 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Jack and Thelma Cochran Vaughn. He was a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly.
He is survived by his sons, John Vaughn III, Nicholas Vaughn of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Andy Anderson of Rocky Face, GA; step son, Jeff Painter of Raleigh, NC; sisters, Kim Nance of Calhoun, GA, Shirley Vaughn of California; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Johnny William Vaughn Jr. will be held Friday July 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Lonnie Starnes officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm Friday.
