Mr. Johnny Matt Towers, age 73 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Wednesday November 18, 2021 at his home. Johnny was born July 10, 1948 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of the late Matt and Elizabeth Mae Wells Towers. Johnny was also preceded in death by his sisters, Margie Upchurch, Louise Towers, Katherine Smith; great-granddaughter,  Haven Barbee.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Brenda Black Towers, they celebrated their 53 ^rd anniversary on September 14; daughters, Carolyn and Brad Roe of Chatsworth, GA, Angie and Chuck Barbee of Varnell, GA, Michelle and Scott Edwards of Ringgold, GA, Jill King of Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Jerry Bramblett Jr, Wesley (Nicole Crace) Bramblett, Landon and Stacy Carter, Heather and Josh Tripp, Dustin and Ashley Barbee; great-grandchildren, Hailey Bramblett, Christopher Ferrell, Nickolas Ferrell, Jackson Ferrell, Hunter Harper, Grahm Barbee, Landon Tripp, Easton Tripp, Jesse Grace and Tyson Grace; sisters, Ruth Towers, Arlene Towers, Deborah and Lee Rogers. Also many nieces and nephews and many friends.

The family will hold a service to celebrate the life of Johnny at a later date.
