Mr. Johnny Creg Pickard, age 60, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Monday afternoon, June 23, 2014 in Cartersville, Georgia. Johnny was born July 10, 1953 in Meridian, Mississippi. Johnny worked for Dalton Paper Products for the past twenty four years. He served six years in the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Teems Pickard of the residence; parents, Johnny and Elois Cross Pickard of Grove Hill, AL; son, Jonathon Pickard of Calhoun, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Selena Pickard of Cartersville, GA, Christina and Josh Garnett of Calhoun, GA; step daughters and step son-in-law, Anita and Tony Horn of Ringgold, GA, Jennifer Lewis of Rocky Face, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Gary and Kathy Pickard, Perry Pickard of Grove Hill, AL, Lisa Teems of Rocky Face, GA; grandchildren, Kayleigh, Grant, Presley and Grier Garnett, step grandchildren, Christopher Noland, Brandon Headrick; special Pet, BJ.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Johnny Creg Pickard will be held Thursday June 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Gary Pickard and Reverend Roger Kennard officiating. Interment will follow in the Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
