Mr. Johnny Newton Kendrick, age 76, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the local hospital. Johnny was born May 20, 1941 in Chatsworth, GA, a son of the late Charlie and Onie Green Kendrick. He was also preceded in death by his wife DeeEtte Kendrick, brothers, Lee Kendrick, Benny Kendrick, sister, Jeanette Mantooth. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 112.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Renae and David McClure of Canton, GA; granddaughter, Jessica and Wesley Maddox; great grandchildren, Logan, Brentley, Hailey, Bella, Braelynn; sisters-in-law, Sue Carr of Dalton, GA, Bonnie Davis of Chatsworth, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Johnny Newton Kendrick will be held Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Rick Spence officiating. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens. The family will receive at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
