Mr. John Franklin Short, age 49, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the local hospital from complications of Covid-19. He was born April 11, 1971 in Salem, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his mother Minda Quillen Short. He was employed at Engineered Floors.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lee Ann Short of the residence; son, John Tyler Short of Woodstock, GA; father, Denver and Emma Short; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert Quillen, Keith and Kathy Quillen of Jenkins, KY, Austin Short of Chatsworth, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Crystle and Teddy Silcox of Elkhorn, KY, Melinda and Thomas Blevins of Dalton, GA, Keisha Short of Elkhorn, KY, Lottie Johnson of Erwin, TN; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. John Franklin Short will be held Wednesday December 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with family and friends speaking. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
