Mr. John Harry "Bud" Maddox, age 77, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday afternoon, May 2, 2024, at his home.  Bud was born April 30, 1947, in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late, John Ross and Willie Mae Flowers Maddox.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Yvonne Kendrick Maddox, brothers, Walter Leonard Maddox, and Henry Weatherby and a niece, Carla Willingham.

Bud was a wonderful father, grandfather and will be missed so very much. He is at home with his father, now at Peace.

He is survived by his children, James Wesley Maddox, Tracy Renee Maddox (Bryant Peasant) and Karen Denise Maddox; grandchildren, Troy Lee Maddox, Tiffany Lee McGill, Rachel Renee Smith, Johnny Maddox, Dillon Maddox, Christi Sisco, and Justin Lee Watson; eight great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Carl, and Rosie Maddox; sister Emily Diane and Bobby James; several nieces and nephews all of Dalton, GA.

No services will be held.
