Mr. John Thomas Heard age 79 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Tuesday June 1, 2021 at the local hospital. He was born June 8, 1941 in Buenos Aires, Argentina a son of the late Ralph Lamar and Nell Bradley Heard. He worked for The Whitfield County Juvenile Court, Whitfield County Tax Assessors Office and the Youth Detention Center. He was a member of the Christ Church Presbyterian and the Dalton Amateur Radio Club.

He is survived by his wife Stephanie Heard; son, Travis Hilderbrand; daughter, Katie Crump; brother, Ralph L. and Sharon Heard; grandchildren, Matthew Austin Kitts, Kayley Kitts, Cheylyn Jones, Ruby Anne Crump; great grandchildren, Alesane Kitts, Sylis Kitts; several nieces and nephews.

At his request he will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Dalton Greater Works att. Robert Hill at P.O. Box 6 Dalton, GA 30722.
