Mr. John Thomas Erwin Sr., age 68, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life on Thursday evening, February 20, 2025, at CHI Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 29, 1956 in Elcentro, California a son of the Oscar and Marie Bigham Erwin. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Reverend Ellard and Clara Bigham, Henry and Lucille Erwin, daughter Crystal Erwin, brothers Richard Erwin, Henry Palmer, Raymond Palmer.

He is survived by his son, John Thomas Erwin Jr. of Chatsworth, GA; brothers, Luther Gene and Cheryl Erwin of Resaca, GA, Terry W. Erwin of Dalton, GA; sisters, Wanda Gail Garner and Mark of Redbank, TN, Marie Erwin and Clarence Garrett of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Drew Erwin, Dylan Erwin, Riley Erwin, Christian Blackwell; great grandchildren, Kaden Erwin, Everleigh Erwin, Ansley Blackwell; several nieces, nephews and his billiards family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday February 24, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
