Mr. John Wayne Davis, age 43, of Rossville, Georgia, and formerly of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at his home. Johnny was born March 10, 1970 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Charles Edward and Ida Earline Defore Davis. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Wanda Burse and Vera Sue Smith and brothers, Charles Edward Davis, Jr. and Roy Lee Couch.

He is survived by his sisters, Patricia Palmer and Beulah Mae "Pee Wee" Davis both of Chatsworth, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. John Wayne "Johnny" Davis will be held Friday morning, January 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with George Cross officiating. He will be laid to rest at Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 9:00 a.m. Friday morning until the service hour.
