Mr. John "Jelly Bean" Calecas III, age 61, of East Ridge, Tennessee, departed this life Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Erlanger Medical Center.

John was born March 30, 1961, in New Orleans, Louisiana, son of the late John Calecas Jr. and Ruby Mae Warren Calecas.  He was also preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth "Liz" Calecas and mother-in-law, Nell W. Grimes.

John was a truck driver for Trantham Trucking.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Susan Calecas of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, John and Coby Calecas, IV of Slidell, LA; daughters, Samantha Calecas and Selena Calecas, both of East Ridge, TN, Mandy Calecas-Withrow of Wiggins, MS, Ladonna Calecas of Waveland, MS; step-daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Robbie Fife of Chattanooga, TN; brothers, Raymond Calecas of San Angelo, TX, James Calecas of Slidell, LA; grandchildren, Aiden, Lex, Kirsten, Brooklyn, Zackery, Damian and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Athena and Cain; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of John "Jelly Bean" will be announced at a later date.
