Mr. Joel Wayne Southard, age 45, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Friday, February 26, 2021, at Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center. He was born April 9, 1975 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Southard.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Anderson Southard; brother, James Southard; twin brother, Kevin Southard all of Tunnel Hill, GA; nephew, Chase Southard of Dalton; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, and special friend, Mandy.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Joel Wayne Southard will be held Tuesday March 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Anthony Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Dogwood Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
