Mrs. Joean B. "Pus" McNeil, age 70, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday morning, September 28, 2014 at her home. Pus was born February 20, 1944 in Ellijay, Georgia, a daughter of the late Paul and Jewell Medlin Keener. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lee Bryson Sr., daughter, Renea Gossett, brother, Dewey Keener, son-in-law, Gary Rogers.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon Bryson Jr. and Malisa Bryson, Calvin and Sonya Bryson of Dalton, GA, Thomas and Elaine Bryson of Rome, GA, Gerald and Joann Bryson of Alabama, Wayne Bryson of Rome, GA, Tony Bryson of Dalton, GA; daughter, Yvette Rogers of Dalton, GA; son-in-law, Roy Gossett of Chatsworth, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Bill Phillips of Dalton, GA; twenty grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild on the way; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Joean B. "Pus" McNeil will be held Wednesday October 1, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Eric Massey, Brandon Bryson, Rex Ladd, Chad Rhudy, Andy Johnson, and C.J. Bryson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
