Mr. Joe Lynn Reed, age 50, of Dalton, GA, departed this life Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the residence. He was born September 12, 1967 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Leiland Gene Reed, grandparents, Carl Sr. and Annie Rittenhouse, uncles, David Rittenhouse, James Rittenhouse, Saul Rittenhouse, Arnold Rutherford, cousin, Daniel Rittenhouse. He was employed at Mohawk Industries as a Truck Driver.

He is survived by his wife, Shellye Ann Reed of the residence; mother, Deborah Rittenhouse of Dalton, GA; uncles and aunts, Carl Jr. and Charlotte Rittenhouse of Chatsworth, GA, Wanda Rutherford, Dawn Reed of Dalton, GA, Ronnie and Debbie Reed of Kentucky; cousins, Jonathan Rittenhouse, Rebecca Long, Matthew Rittenhouse, Steven Rutherford, Dixcee Merritt, Marniqua Rutherford, Tonya Crouch, Cindy Guinn, Angela Reed, Donnie Rittenhouse, Lee Reed; stepchildren, Miranda, Nicole, Christy, Jeremy; brother-in-law, Bryan and Tammy Love; sister-in-law, Ruthie Love of Alabama.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Joe Lynn Reed will be held Monday July 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Wayne Owenby and David Morones officiating. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens with Chris Cruz, Bobby Russell, Steve Hughes, Chuck Hankins, Troy Johnson, Ignasio Guijon, Gorge Guijon, and Daniel Thomason serving as pallbearers, as well as, Jackie Martin serving as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
