Mrs. Jodi Lynn Long, age 48, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday evening, June 17, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident

Jodi was born April 21, 1969 in Weirton, West Virginia, and was a graduate of Flemington High School in Flemington, WV. She was a stay at home Mom and housewife. The joy of her life was her family and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy LeRoy Allen, Sr. and her mother-in-law, Louise Long.

She is survived by her devoted husband of eighteen years, Daniel Long of the residence; sons, Jeffrey Dwayne "Jeff" Allen and Jeremy Dewayne Anthony; mother, Garnet Marple Allen; brothers, Tim Allen and Jimmy Allen, Jr. all of Dalton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Melony and Terry Dills of Resaca, GA; father-in-law Charlie Long of Dalton, GA; nieces and nephews, Zack Dills, Chris Dills, Stephanie and Aaron Busie, Nikkie Mauller, Josh and Julia Morgan, Ella Busie, Noah Busie, Maci Busie, James and Chenna Terrell, Jessica and Ross Ralston, Jacob Long, Charlie Terrell, Audrey Terrell, Avery Ralston and Jackson Ralston.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Jodi Lynn Long will be held Wednesday morning, June 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Scott Parrish officiating. She will be laid to rest at Dunagan Cemetery in Rocky Face, Georgia, with her close family serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning until the service hour.
