Mrs. Jo Ann Mulkey, age 73, of Fairmount, Georgia, peacefully departed this life on the morning of Saturday, July 5, 2025, at her residence.
Jo Ann was born on June 15, 1952, in Fairmount, Georgia, to the late Clyde Fletcher and Thelma Peccola Jenkins "Coot" Pack. She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Max Charles Mulkey and Gary Hunt; her brothers, Clyde Randall Pack and Henry Jessie Pack; her aunts, Ella Mae Crider, Lois Johnson, Beatrice "Bea" Cronon, Glennie Darnell, Agnes Ora Francis, Dimple Tanner, Ruby Ailene Yancey, Katherine Jo Dixon, and Nancy Jean Waters; and her uncles, Seabron Martin Jenkins, Henry Leonard "Mutt" Jenkins, Carl B. Jenkins, Frank Eugene Pack and James Edward Pack.
A proud graduate of Fairmount High School, Class of 1970, Jo Ann dedicated many years of her working life to Lacey Mills and later to Johnson's Florist, where she worked alongside Linda Johnson. She was a devoted member of Ranger Baptist Church and a cherished member of the Fairmount community.
Services to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Jo Ann Mulkey will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Fairmount Chapel, with Reverend Bobby Timms officiating. Jo Ann will be laid to rest alongside her family at Pleasant Grove (Ryo) Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Fairmount Chapel, 2566 Hwy 411, Fairmount, Georgia, on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour.
