Mr. Jimmy Lamar Soi, age 52, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Thursday evening, November 12, 2020 at his home. Jimmy was born July 26, 1968 in Cleveland, Tennessee, a son of the late Arthur Eugene and Neppie Ruth Payne Soi.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Brittni Soi, brother, James Soi, sisters and brothers-in-law, Annette Smith, Barbara and Johnny Brogdon, Martha Dean Soi, Connie Burnecke, Juanita Burnecke and Bob Earley.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Paula Rhinehart Soi; sons and daughter-in-law, Joshua Soi, Justin Soi and China Slater; grandchildren, Kyleigh Soi, Joshalyn Soi, Layla Soi, Eli Soi and Easton Soi all of Clyde, NC; brothers, Michael Soi and Guy Soi both of Tunnel Hill, GA; sister, Jeanette Earley of Rocky Face, GA; brother-in-law, Floyd Smith of Tunnel Hill, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jimmy Lamar Soi will be held Tuesday morning, November 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Floyd Smith officiating.  He will be laid to rest at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Joshua Soi, Justin Soi, Andy Smith, Lamar Smith, Seth Taylor and Lamar Smith honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning until the service hour.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
