Mr. Jimmy "Pottie" "Tiny" Sneed age 53, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the local hospital. Jimmy was born January 7, 1968 in Dalton, Georgia, the son of the late Herman Hoyt Sneed and Peggy Elizabeth Gossett Sneed Young. He was also preceded in death by his aunt Kay Williams. Jimmy was employed Boyd Paving, Carpenter Wrecker, and Dalton Wrecker. Jimmy was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church of Rocky Face, GA and Westside Baptist Church. Jimmy had a big heart and big smile for all those that he come in contact and would help those in need.

He is survived by his sister, Melissa (Billy) Mullins; brother, Dennis (Lisa Rios) Young Jr; uncle, Boyd (Carol) Gossett; cousins, Rhonda Denton (Allan Kirby), Gene Redmond and Vernon Redmond; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Jimmy Sneed will be held Wednesday October 13, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Garry Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Gene Redmond Jr, Caleb Redmond, Billy Mullins, Dennis Young Jr, John Mullins and Dee Williams serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday October 13, 2021 from Ponders Melrose Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour.
