Mr. Jimmy Lee McCoy, age 69 of Calhoun, Georgia departed this life on Monday, April 2, 2024, at AdventHealth Gordon Hospital.

Jimmy was born May 11, 1954, in Cartersville, Georgia, a son of the late Otis Elisha McCoy and Betty Jo Mead McCoy.  He was also preceded in death by his only child, Brandon Lee McCoy, who was born March 29, 1981 and died April 1, 1981, brothers, Ricky Otis McCoy who died in 1992, and Danny Franklin McCoy who died in 1982, uncles and aunts who were like his parents, Jim and Christine Temples, Bud and Geneva Temples, and Jim and Deck Mead, his little ten year old yorkie, Chloe.

He is survived by his wife, Michele Masy McCoy of the residence; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Sandra McCoy; sister, Glenda McCoy all of Calhoun, GA; step-daughters, Chasity and Samuel De Santiago of Alpharetta, GA, Tabitha Dotson and Angela McCuen of Adairsville, GA; niece, Christy McCoy and Dusty Roden; great-nephew, Christopher Braden Lee McCoy; great-niece, Kinsey Lynn McCoy; several cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jimmy Lee McCoy will be held Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Reverend Denny Smith officiating. He will be laid to rest with his family at Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Waleska, Georgia, with Christopher McCoy, Curtis Mead, Charles Brandenburg, Randy McCoy, Nathan Lee and Mason Brandenburg honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning until the service hour.
