Mr. Jimmy Lamar Henry, age 65, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday afternoon, March 5, 2016 at the local hospital. He was born April 18, 1950 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Clyde and Hazel Kyle Henry. He was employed at Alladin Mills. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances Colleen Henry, brother, William George Henry.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Clifford and Nikki Kirby of Rossville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Chris Flowers of Chatsworth, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Larry Henry, Anthony "Buck" and Tammy Henry; sister, Donna Henry all of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Christian Hall, Cameron Hall, Courtney Hall, Lyla Kirby; great grandchildren, Emberlynn, Cole, Bentley, Paisleigh, Kylie; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jimmy Lamar Henry will be held Thursday March 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jeff Johnson officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at the Spring Place Memorial Gardens with the American Legion Post 112 in charge of Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.4
