Mr. Jimmy Ray Cockburn , age 59, of Crandall, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, March 4, 2023. He was born September 1, 1963 in Chatsworth, GA, a son of the late John Louis and Lillie Geneva Wooten Cockburn. He was also preceded in death by his wife Tammy Denise Cockburn, sister Brenda Pritchett. He was the owner of Quality Maintenance and Pete Webster Enterprises.

He is survived by his children, Breana Cockburn, Tristen Cockburn, Alyssa Cockburn of Chatsworth, GA; stepsons, Nick Nichols Madisonville, TN, GA, Preston Nichols of Chatsworth, GA; brother and sister-in-law, David and Joy Cockburn of Cohutta, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Larry Whaley, Betty and Billy Jones of Dalton, GA; several nieces, nephews and close friends.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jimmy Ray Cockburn will be held Wednesday March 8, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at the Little Conasauga Baptist Church Cemetery with Tristen Cockburn, Christopher Whaley, Kenneth Pritchett, Stephen Pritchett, Gary Lock and Buck Sutton serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
