Ms. Jewell Turner Teasley, age 83, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, May 18, 2026, at Ridgewood Manor Health and Rehabilitation, surrounded by her family.

Jewell was born April 8, 1943, in Murray County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Charles Clyde and Jessie Mae Austin Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Billy White and Ralph Teasley, her sisters, Irene Hill, Wanda Crump and Katie Kirkland and her brothers, Melvin Turner, and Bobby Turner.

She is survived by her children, Charles “Billy” White (Janieth Muse) of Resaca, GA, Cindy and Scott Byers of Rocky Face, GA, Eddie and Wanda White of Tunnel Hill, GA, Melvin and Paula Teasley, Terry and Tonya Teasley all of Dalton, GA; twenty-seven grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Jewell Turner Teasley will be held Friday, May 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with her close family officiating. She will be laid to rest at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 12:00 p.m. Noon Friday until the service hour.
