Mr. Jesus Acevedo Soto, age 72, Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the local hospital. He was born May 28, 1951 in Moca, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Isabel Soto Acevedo and Juan Acevedo Hernadez. He was also preceded in death by his brother Juan Acevedo Jr. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Ima Sue Acevedo of the residence; sons, Christopher Acevedo of Murphy, NC, Jeremiah Acevedo and Lymari Arroyo of Puerto Rico, James and Christina Acevedo of Dalton, GA; daughters, Stephanie Ann and Selvin Funez Padilla, Carla Acevedo of Dalton, GA; brothers, William Acevedo, Denny Acevedo; twelve grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life Mr. Jesus Acevedo Soto will be held Thursday March 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Mineral Springs United Methodist Church with Reverend Gordon Delashmitt        officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Copper Hill, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
