Mr. Jesus Manuel Castro Jr., age 27, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, June 23, 2024. He was born February 21, 1997 in Los Angeles, California. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Rodolfo Castro and Luis Cabrera.

He is survived by his parents Anita Cabrera and Jesus Castro, sisters Melinda Castro and Cynthia Castro Acosta, brother-in-law Javier Acosta, grandmothers Josefina Sanchez and Maria Flores, as well as several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jesus was a beloved son, brother, friend, and cherished member of our community. At the young age of 27, Jesus touched the lives of so many with his kindness, warmth, and unwavering passion for life. His heart of gold was evident in every interaction, as he always went out of his way to make others feel valued and loved. He was truly the best son any parent could ask for, always showing love, respect, and dedication to his family.

Jesus taught himself how to skateboard at the tender age of nine. His profound love for skateboarding was a testament to his adventurous spirit and zest for life. He was also deeply committed to fitness and wellness, always striving to better himself and inspire those around him to lead healthier lives. He always had a passion for music and enjoyed attending music festivals. He found peace and balance through meditation. He had a natural ability to connect with people, always enjoying meeting new people and forming meaningful relationships. He treated everyone with compassion and respect, making friends wherever he went.

Though Jesus is no longer with us, his memory will forever live on in our hearts. We will miss his contagious smile, his kind soul, and the light he brought into our lives. Let us honor his legacy by embodying the kindness and passion he exemplified. Rest in peace, dear Jesus. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jesus Manuel Castro Jr. will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

El Sr. Jesús Manuel Castro Jr., de 27 años, de Dalton, Georgia, partió de esta vida el domingo 23 de junio de 2024. Nació el 21 de febrero de 1997 en Los Ángeles, California. Le precedieron en la muerte sus abuelos, Rodolfo Castro y Luis Cabrera.

Le sobreviven sus padres Anita Cabrera y Jesús Castro, sus hermanas Melinda Castro y Cynthia Castro Acosta, su cuñado Javier Acosta, sus abuelas Josefina Sánchez y María Flores, así como varias tías, tíos, primos y amigos cariñosos.

Jesús fue un hijo amado, hermano, amigo y miembro querido de nuestra comunidad. A la temprana edad de 27 años, Jesús tocó la vida de muchos con su bondad, calidez y pasión inquebrantable por la vida. Su corazón de oro era evidente en cada interacción, ya que siempre hacía todo lo posible para que los demás se sintieran valorados y amados. Era realmente el mejor hijo que cualquier padre podría pedir, siempre mostrando amor, respeto y dedicación a su familia.

Jesús aprendió a andar en patineta a la tierna edad de nueve años. Su profundo amor por el skateboarding fue un testimonio de su espíritu aventurero y su entusiasmo por la vida. También estaba profundamente comprometido con el fitness y el bienestar, siempre esforzándose por superarse a sí mismo e inspirar a quienes lo rodeaban a llevar una vida más saludable. Siempre tuvo pasión por la música y le gustaba asistir a festivales de música. Encontró la paz y el equilibrio a través de la meditación. Tenía una habilidad natural para conectarse con la gente, siempre disfrutaba conocer gente nueva y formar relaciones significativas. Trataba a todos con compasión y respeto, haciendo amigos dondequiera que iba.

Aunque Jesús ya no está con nosotros, su recuerdo vivirá para siempre en nuestros corazones. Extrañaremos su sonrisa contagiosa, su alma amable y la luz que trajo a nuestras vidas. Honremos su legado encarnando la bondad y la pasión que ejemplificó. Descansa en paz, querido Jesús. Te echaremos mucho de menos, pero nunca te olvidaremos.

El servicio para celebrar la vida del Sr. Jesús Manuel Castro Jr. se llevará a cabo el miércoles 3 de julio de 2024 a las 3:00 p.m. desde la Ponders Melrose Chapel.

La familia recibirá a los amigos en la funeraria desde la 1:00 p.m. hasta la hora del servicio.
