Mrs. Jessie Mae Darnell, age 89, of Calhoun, GA, departed this life, Saturday, December 10, 2016. Jessie was born May 29, 1927 in Calhoun, GA, a daughter of the late James and Grace Jackson Fain. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Darnell, son, Robert Mancell Darnell, brother, JC Fain, sister, Tessie Rae Fain.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Jack Baggett of Rock Springs, GA; brother, Ralph Fain of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Robert Christopher Armstrong, Devon Lee Armstrong and Jonathon Turner; great grandchild, Adelaide Armstrong; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Jessie Mae Darnell will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Chapel Church Cemetery with Reverend Gary Bowman officiating.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday evening and after 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.
