Mr. Jessie Lenoir Collier, age 78, of Summerville, Georgia, departed this life Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Hutcheson Medical Center. Jesse was born December 28, 1934 in Meridian, MS, a son of the late Jessie and Mattie Collier. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ida Estella Amonett Collier, daughter, Deborah Ann Gann; sisters, Mary and Gather, step daughter, Stefanie Moseley, great grandson, Luke Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Cora Belle Brown Collier of Summerville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Louise Collier of Chatsworth, GA; daughter, Missy and Tommy Bandy of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Rachael Koch, Vitula Matt, June and Sonny McMullen; stepchildren, Gene and Vickie Brown, Cora Mae and Marshall Moseley, Linda and David Fletcher, Bonnie Brown all of Summerville, GA; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, six step grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, special pet, Angie Knothead.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jessie Lenoir Collier will be held Thursday June 5, 2013 at 4:00 pm from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor David Pettyjohn and Pastor Wille Dean Tapp officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Reverend Glen Stout. The American Legion Post 112 in charge of military rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday.
