Mrs. Jessie Faye Akins age 82 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday March 23, 2016 at the local hospital. Faye was born October 14, 1933 in Calhoun, GA, a daughter of the late William Herbert and Vennie Yother Terrell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Akins, son-in-law, Robert Graham, brother, Donald Terrell, sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Glenn Long, Sue and Ralph Simpson, William Crider.

She is survived by her son, Terry Akins of Dalton, GA; daughter, Debbie Graham of Tunnel Hill, GA; sister, Ida Crider of Smyrna, GA; sister-in-law, Dimple Terrell of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Andrew Akins, Ashley Putnam and great granddaughter, Xena Raymond, special friend, Sara; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Jessie Faye Akins will be held Saturday March 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Junior Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
