Mr. Jesse Kelly Manus Jr., age 85, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life on Saturday December 14, 2013 at his daughters residence in North Carolina. Jesse was born May 14, 1928 in Jefferson, GA, a son of the late Jesse Kelly Manus Sr. and Frances Viola Coyle Manus. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Florence Manus, son, Verlin Eugene Manus.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon McCollum and friend Michael Kelly of Asheville, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Shirley Manus of Varnell, GA; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Aikman, Jean Croghan of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Freddy and Kathleen McCollum, Kelly McCollum, great grandchildren, Amanda Duckett, Jacob and Vanessa McCollum, Destiny Smith, Jarret Dale; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jesse Kelly Manus Jr. will be held Wednesday December 18, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Chaplin David Lee. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at the Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
