Mr. Jesse (Junior) Fowler Jr., age 75, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Friday March 29, 2024 at Hamilton Health Care in Dalton, Georgia. Junior was born, August 14, 1948, in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late, Jesse and Mimia Joe Leonard Fowler, Sr. He was also preceded in death by a nine year old sister, Mary Lynn Fowler, brothers and sister-in-law, Harold E. and Clotee Fowler, Bradford Fowler, George Fowler, and a son-in-law, Jeremy Stephens.
Junior was a 1966 graduate of Murray County High School, attended Georgia Tech for two years and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Long Fowler, of the residence and would have celebrated their twenty-ninth wedding anniversary, September 6, 2024; children and spouses, Jared and Cynthia Fowler of Dawnville Community, Jessica and John Nix, Jennifer Stephens, Chasity and Cody McCullough, Deranda and Matthew Cox all of Chatsworth, GA, and Nathan Fowler of Dalton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Joyce Fowler, Trammell and Jenny Fowler all of Chatsworth, GA, and Johnny and Rita Fowler of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Logan Fowler, Annabelle Fowler, Laney Fowler, Courtney Nix, Ashley and Jeremy Watts, Christian Bell, Eli Bell, Amanda Bray, Andrea Fowler, Morgan Ferney, Corbin Cox, Adelyn Cox, and Riverlyn Cox; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Cokinos, Auden Bray, Maddox Payne, Lele Payne, Keianjre Banks, Zoey Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Ella Huffines, and one on the way, Aaliyah Banks; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jesse (Junior) Fowler, Jr., will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Denny Smith officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Dalton American Legion Post #112.The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning until the service hour.
