Mr. Jesse Wayman Cassell, age 44, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at his home. Jesse was born December 17, 1970 in Chatsworth, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Julian Fred Cassell, Sr., brothers, Jeff Cassell and George Cassell and a brother-in-law, Bill Burke Jesse was a member of The Church of God of the Union Assembly.
He is survived by a daughter, Katie Alyssa Cassell of Carrollton, GA; son, Joseph Paul "Joey" Cassell of Panama City Beach, FL; grandson, Marcus Allen Byrd; mother, Betty Cassell of Calhoun, GA; sisters, Elva and Ray Medley of Fort Smith, AR, Retha and Steve Brafford of Calhoun, GA, Flo Burke of Cumming, GA; brothers, Fred and Rhonda Cassell, Jr. of Kennesaw, GA, Jerry and Brenda Cassell of Sevierville, TN, Hugh and Debbie Teems of Canton, GA, Steve and Lisa Cassell of Knoxville, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jesse Wayman Cassell will be held November 1, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Stoney Kiser and Reverend Denny Gentry. He will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery with Joe Sherbert, Joey Cassell, Charles Miolin, Jeremy Penn, Shannon Akins, Chris Burke and Dustin Burk serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 11:00 a.m. Sunday until the service hour.
