Mr. Jerry Lou Hightower, age 68, of Rydal, Georgia, departed this life, Sunday December 14, 2014 at Cartersville Medical Center. Jerry was born March 2, 1946 to the late Mr. and Mrs Walter Forest Hightower and Elsie Peggy Nicholson Hightower. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jody Hightower, brothers; Cecil Hightower, Arvie Hightower, sisters; Jean Hightower, Kathrine Byers, and Carolyn Brown.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Carolyn Adams, of Summerville, Georgia; sons, David Hightower of Chattanooga, TN., Tim Hightower of Summerville, GA., Jerry Hightower of Fairmount, GA., daughter Rachel and Bryan Thurman of Rydal, GA., sisters, Mary Ray of Cartersville GA, and Linda and Harley Ray of Canton, GA, brother Walter Hightower, and special friend Jackie Hightower of Fairmount, GA., several nieces and nephews

The service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jerry Lou Hightower, will be held Wednesday December 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., from the Ponders Fairmount Chapel with the Rev. Marvin Ellis officiating. He will be laid to rest at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Kingston, GA.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Fairmount Chapel, Tuesday December 16, 2015 from 5:00 p.m til 9:00 p.m and from 11:00 a.m Wednesday until time of the service.
