Mr. Jerry Lewis "Mack" McEntire, age 50, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the local hospital. Mack was born July 2, 1964 in Hall County, Georgia. Jerry was raised in foster care and was thankful for all his foster parents. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and worked his way through school and obtained an associate's degree in electrical engineering. Mack loved fixing things. His wife said he was "Jack of all trades and master of none", but in reality there was not anything he could not tear apart and put back together. He was a true outdoorsman, playing ball, motorcycles and race cars. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward McEntire.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Christy Jo Morrison; sons and daughter-in-law, Ed and Tabitha McEntire, Bobby Griggs; grandchildren, Rayne and Jett McEntire, Mitchell, Zack, Christian and Morgan Griggs; niece, April Stanley; special friends, Kevin Firsdon, Kent Firsdon and Patricia Godfrey; many other special friends and fellow foster family members.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jerry Lewis "Mack" McEntire will be held Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Paul Whitton officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Serenity Hills Memorial Park with Stewart Cofield, Mitchell Griggs, Steve Stephens, Stephen Cope, Anthony Sexton and Mickey Long serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 11:00 a.m. Sunday until the service hour.
