Mr. Jeremy Shannon Johnson, age 34, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Emory University Hospital in Decatur, Georgia. Jeremy was born March 23, 1979 in Whitesburg, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, Marley Johnson.

He is survived by his mother, Verna Fleming Johnson of Virgie, KY; brothers, Lanny Mark Johnson of Virgie, KY, Craig Johnson of Rocky Face, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Gerald Akers of Virgie, KY, Pansy and Jerry Tuckett of Rocky Face, GA, Murkee and Tommy Gable of Virgie, KY, Gail and Ritchie Roberts of Caney, KY, Penny Roberts of Virgie, KY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jeremy Shannon Johnson will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Ricky Spence officiating. He will be laid to rest at United Memorial Gardens with close friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the service hour.
