Mr. Jeffrey Eric Clayton, age 48, of Cohutta, GA departed this life, Friday October 27, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center. Jeff was born October 10, 1969, the son of the late Joe Clayton. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, John Ray Coker and Mary King Coker, James Clayton and Ruth Scott Clayton; father-in-law, Tony Warmack. Jeff enjoyed playing golf when not working at Mt. View Nissan of Dalton and previously at Cracker Barrel. He collected comic books and Flash was his favorite super hero. Drawing and poetry gave Jeff an outlet for his creative side.

Mr. Jeffrey Eric Clayton is survived by his wife, Kimberly Thompson Clayton; sons, Zachary Clayton of Tunnel Hill, Ga, Xandur Clayton of Cohutta, GA; daughter, Bailey Clayton of Cohutta, GA; mother, Charlene Coker Clayton Ray and step-father, Gary RAy; brother, Jody (Lisa) Clayton of Tunnel Hill, GA; mother-in-law (mom), Carolyn Warmack of Cohutta, GA, step-mother Brenda Clayton of Cohutta, GA; family pet and beloved dog, Kaya.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jeffery Eric Clayton will be held Saturday November 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Adam Warren officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday November 3, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to Ponders Funeral Home to cover funeral expenses.
