Mr. Jeffery Pete Waters age 60, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday October 3, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 9, 1958 in Somerset, KY, a son of the late Huger and Wilda Watson Waters. He was also preceded in death by his son Shannon Waters, daughter Krystal Waters Fairbanks, brothers, Clinton Waters, Roger Waters, sister, Kathy Burchfield. He loved Kentucky Basketball and Nascar Racing. He was a supervisor at Engineered Floors.

He is survived by his wife, Mary McHale Waters of the residence; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leamon and Sue Waters of Resaca, GA, Ronnie and Ronetta Waters, Bruce and Mattie Waters of Dalton, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Sharon and Ron Moore, Carol Cothran of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Kloey Waters, Charlie Fairbanks, Daniel Waters, Sydney Shaffor, Courtney Staley, Shawn Staley, Cheyenne Staley, Thomas Graham; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jeffery Pete Waters will be held Saturday October 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Ron Moore, Patrick Burchfield, Scott Bartenfield, Robert Waters, Jason Staley and JR Staley serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
