Mr. Jeffery Scott Thomas, age 51, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday morning, September 22, 2018 at the Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Jeff was born August 28, 1966, in Chatsworth, Georgia.  Jeff was a 1984 graduate of Southeast High School and was employed at Phoenix Chemical Company in Calhoun, Georgia.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Billy Lawrence Thomas, mother and step-father, Edna Faye Winters and James Thomas Shirlen, his grandparents, John Milton and Aline Davis Winters and James Edward and Margaret Patterson Thomas, and cousins, Rick Winters, Steve Winters and Jay Hall.

He is survived by his brother, Billy Thomas; nieces and nephew, Lauren Thomas, Marley Thomas and Ryan Thomas all of Dalton, Georgia; aunt and uncle, Sally and Chip Hall of Quinton, AL; cousins, Sandra and Temple Cloer, Mozella Jackson, Tim Winters all of Chatsworth, GA, Becky Winters and Jennifer Winters both of Fort Oglethorpe, GA, and Maggie Webster of Baton Rouge, LA.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jeffery Scott Thomas will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Donnie Caylor officiating.  He will be laid to rest at the Tilton Baptist Church Cemetery with his close friends and family serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018 and after 10:00 a.m. Friday until the service hour.
