Mr. DaJacey "Jay" Herbie Lane Edwards, age 36 of Maryville, Tennessee, departed this life Sunday August 30, 2015 in Knoxville, Tennessee. DaJacey was born May 19, 1979 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herman "Bobby" Edwards. He was a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly.
He is survived by his parents, Jesse and Donna Hughes Edwards of Maryville, TN; daughters, Angelia and Allison Edwards of Delaware; grandparents, Gladys Edwards of Fort Worth, TX, George and Patricia Hughes of Maryville, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rantcey and Teresa Edwards, Kristopher and Ashley Edwards of Maryville, TN; several aunts, uncles, cousins nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Jay Edwards will be held Friday September 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from the Church of God of the Union Assembly with Reverend Pratt Hughes, Reverend Kaylon Hughes, and Reverend Paul Pratt officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery with Benjamin Edwards, Cody Edwards, Toby Hughes, Jurandon Hughes, Jaylon Pratt, Charon Pratt, Kevin Simmons, and Stacy Newby serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
